Hei! I’m Rachel.
A little about me.
My professional background is in child/youth rights, advocacy and policy, where I’ve worked both abroad and in my home state of Minnesota. I currently live in Minneapolis, but spent almost a decade living, studying and working in Norway. My first year in Norway was my senior year of high school, where I lived with a wonderful host-family in Alta as an AFS exchange student. I fell in love with the far northern part of the country and, after receiving my BA from Luther College, pursued graduate studies at Norway’s Arctic University in Tromsø. Upon finishing my degree I was offered a position with Save the Children in Norway and stayed for another six years.
Why I do what I do.
My love for Norway and the Norwegian language runs deep. Making Norwegian accessible to people through translation and tutoring brings me a great deal of joy.
